    Eli and Ami Jankowsky were both up very early that final summer morning after spending their first night sleeping in a house on their lot after having slept outdoors or at Garden House all summer long.It had gotten very chilly that night and they would've stayed at Garden House if they'd not finished the house yet.They both knew this was to be the last day of summer and that the weather was starting to change already.It was cooler in the evening and it remained cooler later in the day.They both knew that they might not see any new neighbors for at least another few seasons if they came the following year.

    They both got on with eating breakfast and tending to the daily chores as the morning progressed.They decided to work in gardens harvesting produce for most of the day and to meet up at the market later on for dinner.It was clear that the plants in the public gardens were about to go dormant soon with the colder weather later in the fall.They would also have to start dressing a little warmer soon by adding shoes and tops to their outfits as well as switching to warmer outerwear.They decided to apply for part time jobs later on instead of going for full time work since they needed to improve skills.

    They both ended up starting to play online social games on their iPads after eating breakfast and to spend some time studying writing on the iPads.They did need a little more writing skill before they could start to write any stories on their computers.It was time to shift into gear for fall by taking up other activities that could earn extra money over the winter when gardening couldn't be done.They both knew that it might seem like they had a lot of time to get ready for the winter though that time would pass quickly and it would be winter before they knew it.It was a good idea to enjoy the last day of summer while they could.

    They both eventually had to stop to take turns using the toilet and showering to get themselves ready for heading out to the market to apply for jobs and they also decided to harvest a little from the garden.They also decided to still work on writing for days off so they could still earn something on those days when they didn't have work.They were planning to apply for real jobs though only part time because they lived a ways away and needed time to spend on other things like skills and keeping their relationship intact while saving up to be able to afford to start their own family one day in a good few years.

    They started playing chess on their computers as it got later in the day.They had decided to play chess until a little later since they didn't want to be in bed too early.They were still sleeping in their sleeping bags and eating quick meals at home because they still didn't have any counters for preparing food yet.The next purchases for them would be a countertop for preparing salads for meals and eventually a stove when they had more cooking skills.They would get a fire alarm before the stove for safety's sake so they didn't burn their house down.That had happened to others they'd heard of before.

    They finally started getting ready for bed as it got dark out and it took enough time that it was about 9:30 when they finally got into their sleeping bags for the night.It would be time to change outfits for the new season in the morning when they got up.
