Eli and Ami Jankowsky were up late that morning because they'd overslept after staying up a little too late the previous night.They rushed over to Garden House to get ready for the day quickly since they were already running late.Eli was planning to work at Garden House while Ami intended to get to the market and work there.
Eli got to work very quickly since she was already at Garden House while Ami had to head for the market before getting to work and they were both already running behind from getting up late.They had to work fast to get caught up in the day and it was a hot day again.
Ami arrived at the market and wasted no time in getting to work harvesting the produce there once he was safely there.He kept at it for most of the day and it was beginning to dawn of both of them that they would have to make Deery Meadows into their hometown and that their lives were going to be lived out in their new home.It was time for them to start making the best of the situation because it was far better than what they'd left behind.
Eli was still busy working at Garden House even into the afternoon getting produce harvested.She wanted to have something to sell at the grocery store if it came to that.
Ami had been busy harvesting produce at the market while Eli was working at Garden House and he'd gotten a lot of produce harvested.It was already getting quite late in the day and they had to quit very soon.
Eli ended up stopping late in the afternoon to use the washroom and got herself something to eat for dinner since she was starving and it was already 5PM.Ami used a washroom at the market and came back to Garden House to join Eli.
They both decided to try to study handiness on the computers for a while after dinner and it ended up being 7:30 when they finally stopped and tried to get home to find it had begun to rain lightly.They returned to Garden House and decided to sleep there for the night because of the rain.
They went to bed at 8PM to the sound of the rain still falling and managed to be asleep right away.The rain would stop falling an hour later and it would clear up and remain clear.
